In May 2012, we were joined by Pieter Robben as a regulatory review engineer. Pieter is a TCB for the FCC, an FCB for ISED (formerly Industry Canada), an RCB for Japan, and a Notified Body for the R&TTE and EMC Directives. Pieter’s experience as a Notified Body and Certification Body is a potent part of our Certification team. Pieter has been reviewing FCC applications since before the TCB program was created. He is well known in the European community as past chairman of the R&TTECA. Pieter has been working with MIC matters since the inauguration of the Japan-EU Mutual Recognition Arrangement. Pieter’s past experience includes EMC, Radio and Safety testing and certification for test laboratories and manufacturers. He has been in the industry for more than 20 years. Pieter provides worldwide services to our global customers from his office in the Groningen area of the Netherlands.
Robert Graham has worked in the wireless industry since 1988, initially for GEC Plessey Telecommunications, and in 1992 moving to RFI Global Services Ltd., a UL company and provider of regulatory and compliance services to the wireless, cellular, electronics and smart card industries worldwide. His broad range of experience includes EMC facility management, regulatory approval, EMF exposure, Bluetooth® qualification and test system design. He has 10 years’ experience in cellular device certification and the validation of RF and protocol conformance test equipment for 3GPP cellular, WiMAX and Bluetooth wireless technology. He regularly attended and contributed to GCF, PTCRB, PVG and BTAB meetings worldwide. Robert is currently an Application Review Engineer with ACB Europe.
ACB Europe is led by Michael Derby as the senior regulatory review engineer and Director of ACB Europe. Michael has been with ACB since November 2007. Michael is a TCB for the FCC, an FCB for ISED and a Notified Body for the RE and EMC Directives (RED and EMCD). Michael is an active member of the REDCA and TCB Council, and serves as the liaison between the two organizations. He served on the TCB Council Board of Directors, including two full terms as the Chairman and several terms as the Vice Chairman. Michael is the secretary of the EMC Test Lab Association. Michael is also responsible for ACB’s training activities, including webinars and seminar workshops. His past experience includes product development, testing and certification for test laboratories and manufacturers. Michael provides worldwide services to our global customers from his office in the Hampshire area of the UK.
