
FCC Compliance & Certification News – June 2025 | ACB Regulatory Updates
This month’s regulatory updates include FCC waiver approvals for Samsung and Ericsson regarding multiband radios, an extension of time for the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark Lead Administrator, the withdrawal of recognition for several ISED testing laboratories, and newly published FCC KDB answers on U-NII 6 GHz certification and referencing test data for related applications.
Federal Register Updates:
Samsung and Ericsson Petitions for Multiband Radios
Adopted: May 2, 2025
The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Office of Engineering and Technology have conditionally granted waivers of Sections 96.41(e) and 2.947(f) to Samsung and Ericsson, enabling the use of multiband radios across the 3.5 GHz and 3.7 GHz bands.
US Cyber Trust Mark – Extension Granted
Adopted: May 6, 2025
The Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau has granted an additional extension of time to the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark Lead Administrator.
ISED Withdraws Recognition of Three Labs:
ISED has formally withdrawn the recognition of the following testing laboratories:
Effective: May 20, 2025
- BTF Testing Lab (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd (CN0135)
Eligible to re-apply: November 4, 2025 - Shenzhen Anbotek Compliance Laboratory Ltd (CN0059)
Eligible to re-apply: May 20, 2026 - Shenzhen Tongce Testing Lab (CN0031)
Eligible to re-apply: May 20, 2026
Any application submitted by these labs after May 20 will be inadmissible. CABs with pending applications will be contacted by the Certification Engineering Bureau (CEB) regarding next steps.
