Join us for a free Wireless Certification webinar on July 16th at 10:00 AM ET/7:00 AM PT. This informative event will be presented by Michael Derby, American Certification Body (ACB).

In this webinar, Michael will go through the fundamentals of compliance with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), for CE Marking radio equipment into the EU. He will cover the basic essential requirements of safety, EMC and radio performance, and the process for demonstrating compliance. The webinar will also cover testing requirements, harmonised frequency bands, harmonised standards, and the possibility of a Notified Body Type Examination Certificate. He will also include information on the manufacturer’s technical documentation, including the risk assessment. The webinar will also include what to do when the product or the test standards change, and the topic of CE Marked radio modules. This webinar will cover the basics and is therefore important for anyone new to the topic, and also for experienced compliance people to check their understanding.


Webinar Presented by Michael Derby, American Certification Body (ACB)

ACB Europe is led by Michael Derby as the senior regulatory review engineer and Director of ACB Europe. Michael has been with ACB since November Michael Derby2007. Michael is a TCB for the FCC, an FCB for ISED and a Notified Body for the RE and EMC Directives (RED and EMCD). Michael is an active member of the REDCA and TCB Council, and serves as the liaison between the two organizations. He served on the TCB Council Board of Directors, including two full terms as the Chairman and several terms as the Vice Chairman. Michael is the secretary of the EMC Test Lab Association. Michael is also responsible for ACB’s training activities, including webinars and seminar workshops. His past experience includes product development, testing and certification for test laboratories and manufacturers. Michael provides worldwide services to our global customers from his office in the Hampshire area of the UK.
