Milli-Meter Wave: Technologies and Applications
July 11 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
FREEMillimeter wave (mmWave) technologies & applications have been steadily expanding. Wireless communications in the sub-terahertz and terahertz (THz) frequency range have been envisioned by both academia and industry as a key enabler of future Sixth Generation (6G) wireless networks. There has been major progress towards closing the so-called THz gap. Testing, infrastructure and user technologies are quickly evolving. Understanding of mmWave propagation and concerns about interference have shown steady progress. Along with innovative signal processing, communication and networking protocols, many new applications have been developed. New questions about allocation, contention and device approvals are still discussed and are being resolved. More work is being done on the security of terahertz links and the coexistence between active and passive users of the spectrum above 100 GHz.

Presented by Greg Czumak, Senior Review Engineer with American Certification Body
Greg Czumak, Senior TCB Reviewer is a veteran of the wireless regulatory industry, serving for a dozen years at the Equipment Authorization Branch at the Federal Communications Commission. Greg has reviewed thousands of devices for compliance with the FCC and ISED (Canada) rules and is on the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Certification Body Council (TCBC). Greg has given lectures, sermons and presentations for a variety of audiences and continues to tackle complex device applications.
